Does the Training Tower really cheat this badly, or is Hinata actually SSS-tier?
I keep thinking, there's no way this can be right.
Having a nightmare of a time already training up Eirika to 40 when I come across this bastard Hinata. Without thinking too much of it, I send Takumi to deal with him.
0 damage.
Wait, what the fuck? I double-check. Hinata has 46 Defense. That's insane. He's got the Fury skill, which accounts for 3 of those points. He's also got Res in the low 20s somewhere (I forgot to take an image of this nonsense), 33 speed (with brash assault for guaranteed doubles at half HP), and I think 42 attack with a ruby sword, or something around there. Plus the pavise skill, to lower damage even further. Lastly, a respectable 43 HP.
Now, I can't find average Hinata stats anywhere, but this just does not sit right to me. The highest recorded defense that I can find is Hector/Beruka, at 37. So let's say that we take away Fury 3, and Hinata's down to 43 defense. Let's say this was a +def nature Hinata, so his average is "only" 40.
That's still 3 more defense than Hector, on a unit with 2 move, way superior speed, and slightly better res.
That just doesn't seem right to me, on a unit who is supposedly lowest-tier, compared to Hector who is in the highest tier.
So, does the Tower really just cheat that badly? I don't believe this Hinata was + anything, but maybe I just missed it. Or is Hinata actually that damn tanky?
