Was this a sleep paralysis episode?

I've had sleep paralysis in the past. It doesn't happen often and when it does it's mild. I don't hallucinate shadows or sounds, I just try to call for help until I rationalize that it will go away.

Last night was a little different. I either had already fallen asleep or I was trying to when I began to feel heavy, both my limbs and my eyes. I looked around and everything was dark, I couldn't focus. I figured I was dreaming and tried to wake up and after a few failed attempts I decided maybe I wasn't sleeping.

I got up and went to get a drink of water. My cat was outside of my room, but it was just a shadow, two shadows. I only have one cat so at this point I figure I'm hallucinating and go to my mom's room to wake her up. I have no idea why I thought it was a good idea. She told me to go back to bed, which is out of character for her since she hates being woken up, kind of my first clue this was just a dream. She also doesn't remember me waking her up.

So I go back to bed, and try to turn on my tv and PlayStation. I also don't know why I thought that would be a good idea. At this point I was really disorientated. The PlayStation kept trying to start up and would then shut off, I couldn't even read the screen because my eyes were so tired. I remember grabbing at some blankets on the side of the bed that I had put there before bed and it was like my limbs couldn't move properly. And my mind couldn't focus.

At some point I lied down and moved my head to the side, waking up. I was still tired but all this clarity came back. At that point I was sure it was a dream, but it didn't really feel like I had woken up because I wasn't sure if been asleep in the first place. Only forty minutes had gone by.

Usually when I dream it's random and doesn't feel lucid like that. Things were in proper places, my house looked the same. It was little details I didn't think my mind would remember. But then there were things like my PlayStation starting up and shutting off, something I feel like I'd have to manually do.

I'm not sure if it's possible to lucid dream while having sleep paralysis. Again, I'm not even sure this counts? Sleep paralysis is just the closest thing I can think of because of the heavy limbs.
