What "animals" was Ashley comparing aliens to on the Citadel?

This is practically a shower thought and I know we're all tired of beating this dead horse, but just take a moment and think: exactly WHICH animals was Ashley supposed to be comparing the alien species on the Citadel to??? Where were all the jellyfish and giant spiders and velociraptors wandering around that she could be confused by? Because I sure as hell didn't see any. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Edit: yes, I know the line is bugged, yes obviously I was referencing the animals she could be referring to. My point is that she says "I can't tell the aliens from the animals", implying that there are, somewhere in the vicinity, animals to be comparing them to. But there aren't any, and nowhere in the trilogy is there ever any mention of animals on the Citadel (that I can recall), beyond fish.
