Curious if this is a POTS thing, or an EDS thing, or if im just weird.

My entire life I've been able to go into an "overdrive" state pretty much at will. It feels like I have all the energy in the world, I don't notice much pain, and I notice a significant boost to my coordination and proprioception. I also "pretzel" a lot more. It's also an extremely euphoric state. I'd call it a runners high, except I don't really need to run or even excercise while in it. Though sitting still would be impossible for me at these times. I would compare it to the effects of drugs, but I've never tried any.

I'd assume it's normal, except everyone around me always assumes I'm on drugs at these times. 18 years ago I worked at a grocery store and injured my foot, company policies required me to both go to the doctor promptly, and to take drug tests. Every, Single, Boss of mine kept asking me if I was going to be OK with the drug tests. I must have been asked a dozen times. Apparently a couple of them were still convinced I faked my drug test somehow. :(

As I've gotten older (40 now) I find it harder to get into that mindset/state, and I feel fatigued most of the time, but I can still blow the fatigue off and have that energy, just play some loud electronica music, or anything else with a fast beat and it's easy. But the downsides are stronger now.

The downsides: I don't feel any exhaustion, and little pain at these times. Also once I lose my momentum, I crash. Hard to borderline catastrophically. Usually days to a week to recovery fully if I pushed too hard. Also too much exertion leaves me with a major MCAS flare anymore. (Severely unpleasant) Also I get moody, exhausted and with tension headaches. (short stabby headaches that last a few seconds but hurt a lot more then even my migraines)

The past few years I find myself always exhausted or have too much energy. (85-90% or so exhausted) but I can still draw it out whenever I need it. (Mostly. Can't do it if I'm at all sick, and each day in a row I do this, it gets harder to do and hold on to)

Curious if anyone else has experienced something like this.
