Too late to start on PC?

I originally had the first PvZ:GW for xbone and got to around level 250 and never really got the new game. Now that I'm interested in getting PvZ:GW2 is it too late in its life cycle to try joining the game and is there enough people on PC to make it worth getting?

Edit: Thanks to all that helped me make my decision. I ended up buying the game for PC and now willing to add anyone that would like to help me get into this game and back into the PvZ scene.
