Some Breeding Questions

Hey fellow ark survivors, I'm looking for advice from experienced breeders. I'm getting more into breeding for Valentine's Day, working on sheep and breeding turtles hoping for some cool mutations.

1 - When breeding for mutations, does it matter if I inbreed repeatedly, or is it solely based on number of eggs hatched?

2 - As I head through the 4th generation of turtles I am acquiring a lot of them. Unlike sheep, which have a valuable purpose, I'm not sure what to do with 60 turtles. However, I am too soft hearted to straight up kill them. Any other more humanitarian ways to uh.....thin the herd?
