Using Instagram to Connect with New Followers

I thought I would piggie back off the conversation about social media from the other day with a totally neat experience I had with Instagram. About a month and half ago I started streaming and about the same time decided to cultivate my brand on Instagram too since that was where I felt the most comfortable.

It wasn't long after I posted on IG that I was going live on Twitch that I had someone join the chat and quickly give a follow. They were new to the game so I enjoyed answering questions and just having a good chat. It wasn't until later on after the stream had ended that I was back on Instagram and saw I had been tagged in a post.

To my absolute surprise, it was my new follower from the chat thanking me for the advice and giving a very sweet shoutout! It totally made my day in such an unexpected gesture of support. It really hit me how much I enjoy these interactions but also the value of using social media platforms.
