Suramar...

So I find it a bit dumb that you have to raid and do mythic dungeons in order to finish out the story line in Suramar. I've been playing this x-pac since a week after launch and I don't think I'm anywhere near where I have to be in order to raid (ilvl 847) and I know that mythics would kick my ass nor do I have the gold for a carry. Why would Blizzard make it this way?
