Amtrack Trains

So I take an Amtrack to see my girlfriend who lives 400 miles away from me. I love trains and the fare isn't bad so I don't mind. I screwed up this time and ended up not bringing a lot of snacks (none that were filling or remotely healthy anyway). I started craving real food so I went to the dining cart hoping I'd see something accidentally vegan.

In the dining cart, I actually see a lot of options, mostly salads. Then, I read it clear as day at the top of the menu: "Vegan Burger".

I ordered it, came with a little thing with the ingredients (checked three times to make sure) and then I dug in. It was beautiful. The burger had a little bit of spice, was filling and the taste and texture were pretty great too. It was a microwaveable thing, but it's the best thing I've ever tasted to come out of a microwave.

While true love was enough to get me on a 9 hour train ride, I finally found yet another incentive. I didn't expect Amtrack to have anything I could eat, except for maybe fries or a salad. So glad I was wrong.

The Burger was a Oven Pride Vegan burger with Chipotle Pepita Sauce.
