There should never be a player holding the top of the B ramp roof in Black Shield
Everyone has seen someone play king of the hill for an entire match on top of the B ramp in Black Shield or on the B cube in Pantheon. Match making should never let the skill difference in a match get so wide that one guardian is so much better than everyone else that they can stand in the open and consecutively kill multiple guardians with impunity. Just doesn’t make for a good game.
Match making has let me experience both ends of this. I know it is difficult for high skill players to understand but it is sometimes impossible to take on a sufficiently higher skill guardian even when you know they are there and you know they are in the open. Reaction times just don’t allow it, you wait for another guardian and hope this time you can drive them out to get a reprieve.
I know this because sometimes I’m the one on top of the ramp because I’m running out of victims and I can see more up there and kill them quicker. No way they should be in the same lobby as me but if they are, high ground is a way to efficiently wipe them out.
Next time you see someone up there or you are up there, it’s because they are way out of the lobby’s skill range. In no universe is that a real combat style against equal competition. It’s because the NBA is dunking on middle schoolers and the match making has failed.
