Going back to school for environmental studies. Wanna get a head start. What books/textbooks should I be trying to get my hands on? Thank you!

As the title says, I'm trying to go back to school in the fall to start towards a degree in environmental studies. I'm interested in evolutionary biology, tracking animal behavior/movement, effects animals as well as humans have on the environment. I'll be meeting with some guidance counselors in a few weeks to iron out the specialties. I'm 24 with 1 year of community college under my belt. My parents divorced when I was a senior in high school and being the oldest of 3, it became my job to be the man around the house. When my mom's income alone wasn't enough to pay the bills, I stopped going to school and picked up multiple jobs. The situation has changed for the better and now my family is at a point where I can go off and chase my dreams. I'm obsessed with the outdoors, the environment, animals, and of course science. Seeing that I'll already be one of the older kids in my classes and that I've been out of school for a few years now, I want to try to get a head start. If anyone can recommend any textbooks I should be trying to get my hands on or in a PDF or even just other books that would be beneficial I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you to everyone in this community. Long time lurker, first time posted.
TLDR: Going back to school for environmental studies. Wanna get a head start. What books/textbooks should I be trying to get my hands on? Thank you!
