Police checkpoint on hwy 16 South near Hunt club bridge?

Traffic is backed up forever and they appear to be pulling lots of cars off the road for some sort of checks. Anyone know what's up? I was headed north so didn't get much time to see, but the were lots of cop cars for several blocks.
