Confession: Just spent $200 at Geek Squad. Curious how much PC I could build with $200 instead.
So my computer stopped booting and my attempt to reinstall Windows failed. I just dropped it off a Geek Squad to have them sort it. Astounded by the $200 price. Especially since I probably just paid them $200 to tell me tomorrow that I need to replace something.
I upgraded my memory and graphics not too long ago. Everything else though is a basic HP Envy. Should I have just bought parts and tried to upgrade my way out of the problem (starting with a new HD I assume)? How would you have better spent your computer dollar if you were me? Could I have afforded a new motherboard/processor as well?
Sincerely, Buyers Remorse
