Calling all Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program Alumni!

"The officers discussed the Salem folks at our last meeting. Basically, JETAA hasn't been very active in Salem for a while due to lack of interest, but we used to have a sub-chapter there (and would love to start it up again if anyone is interested). It's a suggestion if you, anyone you know, or any group of wonderful people is interested in organizing some events like dinner/karaoke nights, Japanese study hour, haiku competition, or anything else. Anyone with interest or questions should contact officers@jetaaportland.com."

I have personally become more involved in the Portland JETAA recently, and would love to link up more with anyone else in the Salem area! Lemme know who you are and I will start a list. If we have enough interested people, we can start up a sub-chapter. This means potentially getting money to fund fun social events. Please pass along the above message to anyone you know who is a JETAA.

PS: Anyone who is interested in learning more about JET can visit Willamette University on April 8th. There will be an info booth.
