Theory for how to obtain Espeon and Umbreon

This is obviously just a theory but I figure it might be good to have a thread for testing. What if you need to walk a certain number of steps with Eevee as your buddy pokemon before it will evolve into espeon/umbreon. I'm going to start testing immediately, I will update you all, feel free to post your ideas here.

Discovery: Several people have said that "Tamao" as a name makes eevee evolve into Umbreon
