Could use a little advice on the Etta tunic!
My knittas. I'm casting on for the Etta tunic and decided to modify the neck to have a shaped neckline (just a general scoop, not a v-neck or anything) and while I'm pretty familiar with how top down raglans work, shaped neck or not, it occurred to me I'll need to start the front cable/lace panel moving inward as the neck line increases before I join otherwise it'll be like…the cable panel'll start a few inches below the neck which seems weird to me.
I…think what I'm going to do is chart out my rounds and increases and note when to start the lace and then the cable. I guess I'll probably just cast on the extra stitches needed to complete the scoop then join right at the point the cable would start so I'm not trying to partially cable..
Does that make any sense? Am I way over thinking things? Any advice on starting a cable right at a shaped neckline, horror stories, words of encouragement and sage wisdom absolutely welcome! Thanks everyone :)
