I think I scared him off?
So, I know we have ALL started getting shady paypal offers from sellers. Well, I got this one (most of email cut off to not include identifying information) and I guess I was feeling feisty, so I responded. Check out the exchange.
(Part of sellers initial email) Because of the new policy of the Amazon, only the Vine Voice of the Amazon can use the free promotion code to buy the product and leave the review and package feedback on the Amazon page. So we also want to know if you mind buying the product and leave unbiased reviews and feedback on the Amazon page as we transfer you the total cost by your Paypal account. If you are interested and approve of it, please tell us and send us your Paypal account. And could you tell me whether your paypal account charges transferred fee? Look forward to hearing from you.
My response, in short, was basically- Sorry, you've been misinformed. Free codes are still very much allowed to regular amazon users. They simply require that you do not check that those you gave free products to actually review. But, you may have better luck if you simply offer codes as many reviewers still love to participate. I can say that paypal schemes are against TOS and put both your account and the reviewers at risk.
His response,
"Dear friend, I am so sorry to tell you that this product has enough people to do. Thanks
I didn't mention a product????
Aww shucks, what will I do without your crappy product and shady paypal offer? Haha!
