Pc won't post

I recently built a pc ( https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cLR8XH ) and after finishing, I ran into some problems with booting. I fixed this by removing the graphics card and plugging the DVI-D cable into my motherboard which allowed me to boot into the BiOS....however with the card in I get a message from my monitor saying that my pc has no output going into the monitor. What I was going to try and do was load up windows without the graphics card, install the gfx card drivers and then try again, thoughts?
