Evolved pokemon now seem to grant more candy on catching.

Since gen 2 has come out i have caught 1 furret and 1 sentret. And I have 8 candies (haven't transferred either). This gives me reason to believe you get more candies for evolved pokemon catches. Can anyone back me up on this?
