[REQUEST][STEAM] Factorio, automating the automation

NSFWREQUEST

When I think of relaxing games, I think of games where you just... expand. You start with next to nothing, and that nothing grows into a massive complex of equipment and materials that are used to expand even further. One of the more recent examples of these kinds of games, is a little game (literally, it's not even half a gigabyte) called Factorio.

To get a sense of what this game is, go to it's Steam Page and watch the first trailer. The endgame is simple: Complete Automation.

Let's say you want to collect some iron. You start with your hands, and judging from Let's Plays, it takes around 15 seconds to collect 1 piece of iron. Then, when you do collect it, you move up to pickaxes. The time is cut down to almost 2 seconds. Once you've gathered enough, you move up to drills. Now it doesn't matter how long it takes, because this drill does it for you, and you can focus your thoughts on other things that need automating.

And it's not like the game gives you specific instructions on where to put your equipment. In this world, your factories can be as Labyrinthine or Organized as you want them to be.

There's also the fact that this game can apparently help time pass like no other. People making jokes in Steam reviews about this game being a time machine (play for 30 minutes, 8 hours will have passed), things like that. It'll help when there's a content drought in some of the other games I play.

And of course, a GoG post wouldn't be complete without a Steam Profile: http://steamcommunity.com/id/achievement-get/
