Does claiming Veteran as Vigilante do more harm then good?

Odd course you would tell jailor/confirmed town members in whispers, but I'd you are on the stand it may be a good idea with a witch being around. Also mafia not being aware of your true role can cause then to make a mistake. What do ya think?
