Install/transfer Windows 7 Licence to Another Computer

I currently have an old XPS15 running windows 7. That laptop is dying on me, however the windows 7 key/license might still be useful. Is there any way I can install windows 7, with my XPS key, on a new laptop that comes fitted with Windows 10? Would I need to uninstall 7 from my XPS?
