Adidas Messi 15.1 shoe fit

Hi guys, i just got the messi 15.1 as it was on sale but i found it to be just over the bar for me in terms of how tight it is. I got the size 12 us and i couldnt tie the shoe because the laces were too short. How do i fix this, will the shoe just break in when i use it and be used to it or will it stay like that. Also how could i fix the short laces problem. Ps i cant return the shoe and neither do i plan to. Thank you guys
