VPNs, routing apps etc

I'm really new to these so are there any fundamental differences between Mudfish, Pingzapper and WTFast? Are there others similar services I'm omitting? Does anyone have experiences with one or more of these they'd like to share?

I'd really like to cut my ping and packet loss, it's cramping my style. I don't mind paying for good service.
