Help With KISS FC and DYS XSD esc's with Bl_heli S and D Shot

Who is the master multi rotor troubleshooter? I have a a build going using the KISS FC and DYS XSD 20A ESC's. Everything is wired correctly, I have the latest KISS GUI that supports DSHOT. I have flashed newest firmware on the FC. The radio is communicating with the receiver properly as displayed by receiver tabs on the GUI. However I can not actually get the motors to spin up. I have changed between all the DSHOT options 125, 300, and 600. I know all these components can work together as I have seen people do it with other builds. I have scoured forums and youtube. Any fresh thoughts? I have not been able to connect my esc's to bl_heli suite. I read that with DSHOT esc calibration is unnecessary. That could be the only issue I can think of is that I don't have the newest firmware for the esc's. I just bought them and they are pre-slashed with bl_heli S so I know they cant be too out of date. Any help would be appreciated.
