Can I use my Wired XBOX One Controller with Raspberry Zero?

I did some checking and I can't seem to get a definitive answer so I thought I would just ask. It appears that XBOX One Controllers work with Raspberry Pi but it has to be RetroPi 4.0 and I'm fairly certain Zero is a stripped down version? Thanks for any info.
