Can I be fired?

I just started my job in a grocery store two weeks ago, and the job is unionized. I'm currently on a 3 month probation at my job. I got into a car accident two days ago, and I was told under doctor's orders to take a week off to recover. I've already missed two days of work. Can I be fired?
