Is there or would there be interest in PC EU competitive?

I'm tired of random pub stomp games now, my game is suffering because of it I think. Sometimes I'll come across a decent player and then the matchmaking throws us in different games for the next round.

I want to play against the best players regularly, I've always played competitively pretty much in the past and TF2 grabbed me with the fast pace but it's losing some appeal now and I can see myself moving on soon.

Does anybody else feel the same? I've watched a few video's of competitive and it looks interesting.
