Is there anyway for a baritone to have develop brighter sounding lower register?

I'm a baritone and i'm having trouble singing the lower notes in Death of a Bachelor by Panic at the Disco. I can hit the high notes with no problems, but when I sing the low notes my tone is just way to dark and has too much weight to it. Is there any exercises or techniques to develop the bright breathy tone in that song?
