using cheap red/blue led's to grow food in the kitchen
I started ordering led grow lights red (600 to 700nm) and blue (cant recall, will edit in) a few years ago. about $1 cad per watt for powerful led's, a lot less for older dimmer types that are still very good for green growth, microgreens for instance. i used coconut coir as grow medium and fed glacial dust and worm castings for the longer term grows. impermaculture is about making the biomass happen from anywhere and these cheap led knock off's on ebay really do work. you can get your green stage going very well. if you are growing r/trees style plant items you will need much more wattage and a deeper spectrum.
