TIFU by flooding my shared flat with the soapy water I showered in

Obligatory this happened a month ago.

I live in a shared flat with 3 other people. One night I decided to take a shower. It was around 1 a.m. and everybody was asleep (or at least I hope they were).

So, I get ready to take a shower and go in. While doing that, I notice that the water is slightly building up at my feet. I make a mental note that the drain is probably getting slightly clogged, that I should fix it in the future and then proceed to ignore it (big mistake). The water keeps getting ever so slightly more but I just said to myself "nah, I am almost done". Not only that, but this isn't a bath or a stall shower, it is pretty much just tiles with a very (VERY) slight curve.

Because of the shower curtain we have, I didn't notice that the water had gotten to a point that it was going over this very small edge - over....and out of the door.

And since there is a constant stream of water...and I shower slowly...when I pulled the curtain back I noticed a trail of water going out of the door. I tensed up...opened the door and...

Everything in front of the door AND the floor in the kitchen was in MY soapy dirty shower water. My heart sank into my stomach.

I started trying to clean up with a mop (mopping away the sea more like it), I hoped no one was awake and that no one could hear me furiously splashing water back into the bathroom. The entire time I was just in a very short towel, basically almost naked. I managed to clean up everything and make it seem ok. While cleaning I was thinking what I was going to say in case someone came out of their room and asked me what had happened (or what was I doing half naked with a mop at 2 a.m.). Luckily no one saw me. I went to bed thinking what would happen the next day and what lie I could say if someone brought the mess up.

No one said a thing. Now, to this day I don't know if someone heard me, or if someone had opened their door during my shower, seen the sea of soapy water, and just noped out and closed the door(probably not, I mean, why would you do that).

If only it was just water but it was soap, hair...and other things...

TL;DR: Went to shower, drain was clogged, ignored it, flooded shared apartment with soapy water fresh off my hairy body, furiously mopped a sea of water into the bathroom.
