If I were to buy the Starter Edition, would I keep the operators I have gotten on the free weekends?

I've played a great deal of the game during free weekend events and have unlocked the majority of the base game operators. As a result I feel buying the Starter Edition is the better choice, on the grounds that I keep all my currently unlocked operators. Anyone know from experience whether or not you keep the operators you have already obtained?
