Question about transporting gas
Hello, I am a graduate student traveling from CA to Brazil next month. For my research, I need N2 gas which is isotopically labeled, in order to measure soil microbial N2 fixation rates. Because you cannot bring compressed cylinders on planes, I would like to transport my gas in gas-tight Tedlar bags. Please, see the photo below, although the actual bags used will be more robust 5-layer bags. To account for air pressure changes in the plane, they would only be filled to 50% capacity. As i said, the gas will be inert N2, but enriched in 15N. However, this is not dangerous (not flammable/explosive/reactive). The bags are Not compressed, so it is like a bag of chips! Do you think this would be a problem?
