Is it bad to change first date plans?

I made plans with this girl, and long story short we made plans to go to dinner and then walk around this very nice park. I'm thinking now that dinner is bad for a first date, for many reasons and I want to do something like get ice cream instead. Does this seem cheap in y'alls opinion?
