School B sped up their process and gave me an offer as soon as I told that School A gave me an offer. Has this ever happened to anyone?
I think I'll use the names:
-
University of Reddit (UR) for School B
-
Reddit State University (RSU) for School A.
UR is in the middle of working their way through their admission process when all of a sudden RSU sends me an email with an excellent offer. I was very flattered and impressed. I then replied to RSU via email that I have decided to go to their school. They were on the top of my list since I started the application process.
Soon after, I decided to update UR that RSU gave me a great offer and that I have decided to go there. UR then replied to my email with an offer as well, one slightly better than RSU.
I was expecting a simple thank you and good luck, but they gave this amazing and unexpected counter-offer.
Has this happened to anyone? If so, can you share your experience?
