DISCUSSION: The problem with all these eye-grabbing, premature "in talks to join DCEU" news pieces...

Sure they consume our interest for a few days, but there's a chance such news might not materialize. Hell, Ben Affleck had officially announced to be a director, and backed out. Michelle MacLaren backed out. Seth Grahame-Green backed out. Rick Famuyiwa backed out.

And these are people who had signed on the dotted line. Now, with recent news of Matt Reeves, Mel Gibson, Nicole Kidman, etc. all being "in talks" to join the DCEU...it's asking for trouble if some of these don't come to fruition for whatever reason. We'll get more clickbait and social media "DC is doomed" frenzy.

Why don't they just wait until the anticipated contributor has signed the contract?
