EMS to Canada?

I have been lurking for a while now and read that its best to get EMS shipping to Canada. How long does it usually take? I live in an apartment complex and work full time so I won't be able to sign for any packages - a signature is required at delivery right? Is it possible for them leave a delivery notice in my mailbox to pick up at a designated post office?

I guess I'm just confused about which delivery service will handle the package after using EMS from China. Thanks!
