Copy-cat build help
###Build Help/Ready:
Have you read the sidebar and rules? (Please do)
I've read the rules!
What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.
Gaming primarily. With the option of VR whenever possible. Also a potential for casual streaming video-recording and editing down the line (As a hobby, no intention of doing this for a living.)
If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, framerate, game settings)
I prioritize frame-rate (at least 60fps consistently) , but would ideally want to run most modern games on 'high' at least. Looking for 2560 x 1440 resolution but am still uncertain on whether to prioritize refresh-rate, considering I primarily play FPS and would probably start playing more MOBAs upon getting a modern rig.
What is your budget (ballpark is okay)?
$1100-2000 TOTAL including monitor, and keyboard as well.
In what country are you purchasing your parts?
The United States, California specifically.
Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please). Consider formatting your parts list. Don't ask to be spoonfed a build (read the rules!).
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MbqdtJ is the "copy-cat" build of an ibuypower pre-built I saw on Newegg.
Provide any additional details you wish below.
I was looking through some pre-builts and found this one to be fairly reasonable, with my limited knowledge. I created a copy-cat build of it on PC part picker(see above), but it came out slightly more than the pre-built. I realize i'm asking the "build a PC" subreddit here, but;
-
in this specific case would the pre-built even be an option?
-
Can anyone help minimize the cost while keeping this level of performance?
-
Please help me decide on a monitor, I put in one that prioritizes resolution but may be leaning more towards refresh-rate, or some sort of happy balance.
