[Advice] The Bare Minimum Basics To Survive
No matter what you create, you should always pay attention to the following:
-
Spelling, punctuation and formatting. No one requires you to follow the Paizo stylesheet exactly, but it will help a lot if you actually want to use it in play. The clarity of your writing is extremely important, and we all know how damaging poor wording can become.
-
Existing rules. If your idea depends on an existing class or other rule, make sure you understand the rule and its implications fully before you alter it. Also, take a moment to look for ways your idea may have already been explored. It keeps you from retreading the same ground, and can even give you new insights and inspiration.
-
Method of Presentation. If your post is a text post directly to the subreddit, be sure to use proper paragraph breaks and formatting tools. If its an image, use a commonly accepted host like imgur or reddit itself. If its a google doc, be sure you've set your permissions correctly. Otherwise be wary of any other technical flaws which may detract from your actual idea.
