First Post, Just looking for some support I guess.
Hey Guys!
First time here at stop gaming. After recently losing a friend to terminal illness. I reflected on my life: Im 22, few friends, no gf or girl interaction. I have some other skills and hobbies that I am proficient at, guitar and weightlifting, but I always have rushed them or put video games at a higher priority. I would say I have played at least 2-4 hours a day for the past 10 years. Looking back at it now I am extremely ashamed of it. I know why I use gaming, its simply an escape, I have had a difficult life as I was born with some conditions which effect my appearance. SO low esteem and poor social interaction is something which originated in my early years being bullied and shit. Gaming allows me to go to a place where it doesnt matter if Im a virgin, a failure, ugly. Anyways, any tips on starting this journey? how can I make friends and beat social anxiety when I have been reclusive for so long?
Thanks so much for reading!
