Angry Customer Question

I'm just a cashier. While getting go backs from the registers, a lady approaches me asking for change for a $20 bill. I let her know that we don't have keys to the registers and look for the CSM, don't see them in the front. I ask another cashier that has a few customers at her register if a customer was paying with cash, she says no after customers say no.

The lady starts to head out before I can ask for her to wait a moment while I hunt for the CSM. Her friend (mean lady that always complains on us) asks when the store manager will be in (refers to him by name).

The lady has complained about cashiers and CSMs to the store manager numerous times. Coworkers and I quietly let her know when the SM may be in again.

Am I in for it tomorrow when I come into work?
