Help me find the right lights! Purple is a difficult color...

This may be a strange request, but I actually need a bit of help with it.

With Ryzen on the horizon (see what I did there?) and my income taxes coming in, the time to replace my 3770k is here. A full new look, a full new build. The actual hardware details I have ironed out...at least, as much as you can for a currently unreleased product, but there is one thing that escapes me.

Lighting. In particular, purple lighting. I have wanted to do a black build with purple lighting for ages, but have never had the chance til now. However, I've noticed that more then any other color in PC lighting, purple has the most variations, and that's a problem. Many products show different colors in different pictures, and a few LED strips and fans I've found have had multiple shades of purple on the same sale page! I understand that some cameras don't pick up the fine details as well as others, but it certainly makes things difficult.

What I'm looking for is a semi-darker magenta (Like this http://www.colorhexa.com/8b008b.png ) that doesn't cross into the realm of being pink. Thats important! The most important worry I have in fact....I'm a 30 year old male, and I don't have anything against it, but pink lighting is certainly not for me.

So, does anyone have any advice? Who here as used purple lighting, and what products have good lighting synergy? What matches? What advertises as purple, but is really a shade of pink? Please do help, I'd love to have my dream PC finally realized.

for the record, I plan on using a pure black NZXT New H440 with a smoked/black window, to darken the purple even further to better match my preferred aesthetic. I'm looking for one or two LED strips, and multiple 120/140mm fans.

EDIT ABOUT RYZEN: Before anyone points out, yes, I know Ryzen has no benchmarks out yet. If its garbage, the plan is scrapped and I'm ok with that. But for now, its looking good, and if its nearly as good as its looking right now its a must-buy for me.
