PayPal not matching with bank.

So basically I had a transaction on PayPal paying for goods and services for $26.06 taken out of my chase bank account but it's showing as pending $31.19. I called PayPal and they said we only took the 26 and chase is saying they can't tell because it's pending but it looks like it's gonna be the 31. Is this normal for PayPal?
