Tv won't recognize 4k content through onkyo tx-nr656

I cant seem to get 4k content to display properly... I have a ps4 pro and android box connected to an onkyo tx-nr 656 receiver all going to a samsung un75ju7100 4k tv, if i connect the ps4 pro or the android box directly to the tv it instantlt recognizes it as 4k, but once the onkyo is in the mix it immediately drops down to 1080p. I've tried everything but cant seem to make it work, has anyone had the same or a similar problem?
