HP 17t laptop review

Review

I went with the 2gb 1050 7700hq 8gb ram 4k option.

It ended up costing me around $750.00 US after discounts and savings.

It runs as expected. The HDD is pretty slow so I am going to put a SSD inside. The overall look of the laptop is nice. It does have a very plastic feel, but for me that's just fine. The touchpad isn't junk but I found it to be too rough for my liking (coming from a macbook pro). The speakers are lovely with a good sound quality for music. The display is adequate. I noticed a bit of light bleed, but it is only in black screens. The keyboard size is comfortable, though key locations can take some getting used to (again coming from a macbook pro). The webcam is average. I did notice that a full wifi load would freeze up the laptop, but after updating drivers (hardware manager one by one) the problem has gone away. It can play rocket league in 4k at about 35fps consistently. Heat did not seem to be an issue in a 30 minute play session. My benchmark score is at:
