First PC build - anything I can optimize?

Build Help

###Build Help/Ready:

Hey guys, I'm building my first PC and I was hoping you could evaluate it and let me know if anything looks off. Planning to spend around $800-900ish + Windows. Basically I'm trying to get a PC that will be able to play most current/new games (1080p) at mid-high settings.

I think I've settled on most of the parts I was just unsure how much the motherboard matters? I do not plan to overclock and will only be getting 2 sticks of RAM. I don't want to spend extra for no reason but I don't want to get a cheap motherboard and regret it. Also I was wondering how much it matters which brand to get for the parts? I saw there are dozens of options that are all GTX 1060 graphics cards. Same with the SSD and RAM. Should I just pick the cheapest one available at the time?

Here is what I have so far: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WwTnM8

Thanks :D
