Does anybody else 'space out'?

I've noticed that I've been doing this for as long as I can remember, and it happens often. By space out, I mean randomly focus on some point in your vision and not move for some time. Example: Today my vision fell on someone's jacket sleeve in class. I wasn't looking at the jacket, it was like I was looking through it. I was comfortable and didn't want to break my trance. This happens every time I space out.

Does this happen to any of you? I feel like it could be a neurotypical thing, too.
