Need help getting a network running in vMWare Workstation

I need to create a local network between a pfsense router, Windows, and Debian. I also have to create a DNS server using pfsense. I managed to get the LAN running (along with DHCP) but I can't get the DNS server working. I'm also having trouble with the WAN (I can't connect to the Internet). I've spent hours googling but I can't find an answer to my problem. I appreciate any help.
