Is it weird that I want a Fallout game where a large portion of the story is pre-war?

I mean something like FO4, but instead of just a minute, like...about the length of the game leading up to finding Valentine or Rivet City, the way you're "supposed to" and then there's some way the PC ends up in the Wasteland...

Either that or a game that properly explores the weird Eldritch beings that are hinted at every time the name "Dunwich" is uttered in this franchise.
