Found a fix for losing Rudder control on Saitek X56 Rhino

Just a heads up to those who might know someone who has been having trouble.

I had issues with an X56 HOTAS that made it need replacement, and got a new one, but got to keep the old one. The new one had the same problem and I fixed it on accident. I tried the same thing on the old one, and lo and behold it works again now too.

So, if you know anyone who magically lost the twist rudder control on their x56 Rhino, this can likely help them fix it. The most specific thing I can say for diagnosis is that the built in windows config tool will show the Z axis all the way one way or the other and there will be no indicator for z axis position in the HUD software for the Rudder control.

Unfortunately, I can't pinpoint which exact thing I did fixed it, but it was essentially me editing the deadband, curvature, and x/y-sat values, switching the preset from s to j curves and back, and then clicking the "calibrate axes" button. The reticule-esque indicator came back and was responsive. I then had to use the windows utility to make it accurate for elite again.

I figured this out after coming to the conclusion that it wasn't a hardware issue. This was because I swapped sticks and bases and the problem followed the base, which had no sensors, but the circuit board. I don't know what the real software issue was, other than it had to do with the data put on the board by the computer during setup, so I kept screwing around until something worked.

I couldn't find this issue solved anywhere online, though a few things came close. Hopefully this shows up when people search for solutions.
